📔🖊️ Embracing Digital Planners: A Journey to Organisation and Sustainability It's no secret that the traditional paper planner has been the go-to tool for keeping our lives on track. I must say I really love them, but iPads and Android tablets are amazing tools too. For the past 5 years or more, digital planners and journals have emerged as a compelling alternative, offering a wide range of benefits that make them not only efficient but also environmentally friendly. Here are a couple of reasons why I love digital planners and journals: 1. 📔🖊️ The Convenience of Digital Planners One of the primary reasons digital planners caught my attention was their unmatched convenience. With an internet connection, you can access your digital planner from virtually anywhere. If you are using an undated planner or a journal and an annotation app such as GoodNotes and are using many devices, you can sync it through the cloud, and it will constantly be updated! No internet? No problem! Once you have downloaded the app and have your planner or journal, you can use it as much as you want and, if needed, sync it to other devices when you have a Wi-Fi connection. 2. 📔🖊️ Personalise it with colours and stickers! Make it fun!Another significant advantage of digital planners is that they give you the freedom to tailor every aspect to your specific needs and preferences. You can choose colours and fonts and add stickers (lots of fun!), photos, and emojis to make your planner uniquely yours. You can also add, delete and move pages around. 3.📔🖊️ Create vision boards in minutes! If you are tired of collecting magazines for vision boards (which takes me ages!), make one using your digital journal. Take a screenshot on the internet paste it into your empty page and voila, there you are! When you are done you can print it and hang it up on your wall or why not keep it as a screensaver on your PC/MAC desktop or iPad/Android tablet! 4.📔🖊️ An Environmentally Conscious Choice By using digital planners, you're making an eco-friendly choice. You significantly reduce the need for paper and ink, which ultimately helps save trees and minimise waste. It's a small step towards a greener, more sustainable future. 5.📔🖊️ Reusability and Zero Waste One of the standout features of digital planners is their reusability. Unlike paper planners, which are discarded after use, digital planners can be used repeatedly without generating waste. This makes them a fantastic zero-waste option, aligning with the growing sustainability movement. 6.📔🖊️ Enhanced organisational Features Digital planners are not just about replacing paper; they also offer a range of powerful organisational tools. Some planners have features like reminders, notifications, and syncing across devices that make it easier to stay organised and on top of your schedule. These features can be a game-changer, helping you be more productive and efficient in managing your time. At times, this can also be limited for some people, so I have chosen to create undated yearly digital planners that you can download and use right away. Once you are finished you can copy and rinse and repeat! 7.📔🖊️ Saving Time and Space Digital planning can save you time, especially when it comes to making changes, rearranging tasks, or searching for specific information. The digital format allows for quick edits and searches, eliminating the hassle of flipping through pages. Moreover, it's space-efficient – you can keep your entire schedule on a device, reducing the clutter associated with paper planners and various gadgets. Does it really work? 💜 What happens when you practise gratitude? And does it really work? The only answer to this that I can say from experience is YES! Amazing things happen when I practise gratitude. It might not be noticeable at first but gradually, things shift and change in my life for the better. It is a work in progress, though, and I have found I need to treat it as a job, but a fun one, and keep going. As they say, "Keep it simple" and that is something I have done. In the beginning, I took on too much, got overwhelmed, and stopped. So this is what I do. Each morning, I begin my day by listing three to five things I'm grateful for using one of my digital gratitude journals I have created for iPad and Android tablets with GoodNotes. And in some cases, I do it the traditional way, using a pen and paper. Here are a couple of positive things I have found out that have happened when I practise gratitude: 🤍 Finding Light in the Darkness: Gratitude has enabled me to see 'glimmers' of hope even in challenging times. It has gradually removed resentment and negativity, making room for more positivity. 🤍 Creating Vision Boards: By practising gratitude, I've learned the power of visualisation through vision boards, manifesting a clearer picture of my desires. 🤍 Choosing Positive Relationships: As I've embraced gratitude, I've become more careful about the people I allow into my life. Negative influences have naturally faded away, making space for more positive connections. 🤍 Listening to My Intuition: Gratitude has heightened my intuition and encouraged me to follow my heart in all aspects of life, leading to better decision-making. 🤍 Becoming a Better Listener: I've not only become a better listener to others but also to my own needs. This self-awareness has enhanced my overall well-being. 🤍 Improved Sleep: Despite already being a good sleeper, practising gratitude has further improved the quality of my sleep. Less anxious nights. Win-win! 🤍 Synchronicities and Coincidences: The more I've delved into gratitude, the more coincidences and synchronicities I've experienced, reinforcing that I am on the right path in life. 🤍 Mindfulness and Living in the Present: Gratitude has helped me live in the present moment, understanding that as they say “today is a gift” and no matter how much I plan for tomorrow I can’t control the outcome. Here is some inspiration "Today Is A Gift" from Kung Fu Panda. Starts at 1:40. 🤍 Minding My Own Business: This simple yet powerful practise has allowed me to focus on my own path and growth, ultimately enabling me to help others more effectively. That’s it!
